Committees are formal groups that have to publish their agendas and minutes. Committees have delegated powers to make decisions. Bassingbourn-cum-Kneesworth Parish Council has one Committee: HR Committee. Below is their terms of reference:
HR Committee – Terms of Reference
Members of the HR committee are (HR Chair) Cllr Clarke, Cllr Catherall, Cllr Hodge and Cllr Potter.
An advisory group is formed to enable the Parish Council to work alongside those with skills and knowledge and who have a real interest in the community and can offer their time and expertise to assist various projects but do not want to join the council. The advisory groups are made up of members of the public and councillors, they meet as often as necessary to discuss the issues around their particular project or interest and then they inform the council at the next full parish council meeting. All decisions regarding the project/issue/interest are made by the full parish council.
