Street Lighting
Roadside street lighting in Bassingbourn-cum-Kneesworth is provided by the County Council but paid for by Bassingbourn cum Kneesworth Parish Council since October 2019 when the County Council ceased paying for the electricity supply for the lights. We have a contract with a green energy company to supply our electricity and it also supplies the electricity to the Pavilion on the Recreation Ground.
Away from the roads, the Parish Council provides the lighting on footpaths through the village.
All street lighting faults in the village can be reported by telephone on the same Freephone number 0800 7838 247 or using the on-line form at http://www.lightingcambridgeshire.com/report_fault.aspx. Please report the name of the road, the lighting column number marked on the column and the nature of the fault.
