From Bassingbourn cum Kneesworth Parish Council
Here below are the details regarding arrangements that will be in place as directed by Cambridgeshire County Council and from Buckingham Palace.
Period of Mourning
The period of mourning will be for 8 days from 10.04.21 and the funeral (at the time of writing) is thought to be on Saturday 17th April 2021.
Condolences
Arrangements are being made with Libraries that there will be a place for people to post messages of condolence for the Duke of Edinburgh. We will post which libraries when we have been told on Monday 12th April 2021.
Laying of Floral Tributes
Buckingham Palace has issued the following request:
Members of the public may wish to consider making a donation to a charity of their choice, or one of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Patronages in memory of His Royal Highness, instead of leaving floral tributes.
