Dear Neighbours.
This Notice was omitted from the Village Voice published earlier this week.
We are holding a Special Commemorative Service at our War Memorial led by our Vicar Rev Helen Orr.
You are invited to gather on the War Memorial paved area THIS WEEK at 10.50am on Thursday 6th June for a brief Special Service (lasting about 10 mins) as the Church Tower clock strikes 11th Hour to mark the launch on 6th June 1944 of the greatest ever Military Armada invasion with its prime mission to save Europe from Nazi domination. This mission was successfully completed when the 2nd World War in Europe ended on 8th May 1945,
Sadly as a consequence, we have to face grieving for the most dreadful loss of life for many thousands of young American Marines, newly trained RAF Airmen, British Commonwealth soldiers of the airborne military and Sailors of the Royal Navy.
Grieve we must and WE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THEM
As Always With Love and Best Wishes, Vic
